Provocative, glamorous, entertaining...this is the only way to describe David
Puentez as he mixes funky beats sampled with elegant melodies for a blend
of pure house.
David’s stellar rise through the global house community has seen him appear
in Montreal, Stockholm, London, New York, Sao Paulo, Paris and Ibiza as well
as regular sets at Liquid in Bern, Maxxim in Berlin and the Buddha Lounge in
Stuttgart.
The absolute highlight of David’s career so far was the 2006 New Year’s Eve
gig at in Jakarta where he rocked Asia at the massively popular K7-Club with
more than a thousand Indonesians - an unforgettable night!
As well as working behind the turntables, David spends a lot of time in the
studio as a producer - his breakthrough onto the highly competitive DJ scene
came when he was asked to mix the Planet More Music Radio Nightwax Vol. 3
CD in 2007 where it entered high in the charts. Also his first singel called
“Vive La Vida” climbed to position 8 of the “German Club Charts”.
In David, who can make the crowds go crazy in the world’s top clubs, we’ve
got a real, high potential professional who is as known for his performances
and his music. Among his fans are international celebrities at whose private
parties he regularly provides the funkiest beats.
Success hasn’t led David to be blasé on the decks. In a recent interview, he
said:”I’ll always be in the club an hour before my set and hide in a corner,
watch the crowd and listen to what the warm-up DJ is playing.” When it’s his
turn at the hallowed decks, the artist - who hails from Cologne - uses all his
talent and his eclectic mix of house styles to drive the crowds wild.
Just a quick look at his list of gigs on MySpace sees him flying to all corners
of the globe - the entire world seems to be at David Puentez’s feet!
