![]() CAMILLE JONES Camille Jones is currently enjoying worldwide success on the back of 'The Creeps', her collaboration with Dutch DJ-producer Fedde Le Grand. The UK 6 single and worldwide smash may be the first many have heard of this Danish- born singer; the truth is, however, that she has been shaking up the European music scene for nearly a decade with her unique blend of R'n'B-inspired soul, rock, folk and electro showcased on several artist albums, including the recently re-recorded and critically-acclaimed 'Surrender'. It has been 'The Creeps' that has seen Camille become a household name. The single - written by Camille - first appeared on her 2004 album 'Surrender' before Dutch DJ-producer Fedde Le Grand signed it to his own burgeoning Flamingo imprint and completed a tough House remix. It has since become one of 2007's massive crossover hits. After picking up early support from Radio 1 DJs Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell and the Trophy Twins, 'The Creeps' was added to the Radio 1 Upfront Playlist five weeks before its release on Ministry Of Sound on 1 March. It reached the top spot in the UK Cool Cutz Chart, 4 in the UK Buzz Chart and 3 on the German Cool Cutz Chart, in addition to being hammered on Kiss 100, XFM and the Galaxy Network. Following its release on world-renowned US label Tommy Boy, the single made it to 15 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart. It's currently cemented in the UK Top 10 Singles Chart and has been licensed to dozens of compilations. Long before the world was given 'The Creeps' however, Camille had been enjoying substantial success within the Danish and European music scenes. Known for her strong song-writing abilities, Camille's debut self-titled album was a critical and commercial success following its release on Warner Music in 2000. Featuring the hit singles 'Daddy Would Say' and 'Nothing Comes From Nothing', Camille's meaningful lyrics detailing love, rejection and pride struck a chord with fans throughout Europe. She supported ground-breaking act The Fugees on their recent Danish tour and so impressed the group that Fugees front woman Lauryn Hill personally requested Camille to support her on her subsequent solo Danish tour. Currently performing both 'The Creeps' and her new single 'Shotgun' to adoring crowds throughout the UK, this summer will see Camille set out with her live band on a European tour where fans will be able to hear exclusive new material from Camille's forthcoming Artist album, which will feature a more electro-tinged sound. This Danish Dynamo is just hitting her straps! FÖR BOKNING KONTAKTA: UMBRELLA ARTIST Kontaktperson: Sebastian Krupmann Mobil: +46-723294656 sebastian@umbrellaartist.se |
